The national laboratories will help EPUD integrate load forecasting tools and methods to support EPUD’s goal of improving data informed decision-making for proactive planning. The project will help EPUD increase system resilience and reliability by identifying potential capacity constraints and points of failure that could hinder future load growth. The analysis and tools provided by the national laboratories will be generalizable so that they can be used by other utilities and local governments in Lane County to conduct load forecasting.
